Jamie Foxx injured at his 57th birthday party after physical altercation

The actor was at Mr. Chow, a popular restaurant in Beverly Hills, enjoying his birthday dinner when things took a dangerous turn.

According to a statement from Foxx's publicist, an incident occurred when someone from a nearby table threw a glass at the actor. The glass hit Jamie in the mouth, leaving him injured. As a result, Foxx needed stitches to treat his injury.

He asked a friend for an aspirin, but before he could take it, he lost consciousness. “I don’t remember 20 days,” Foxx said. His sister, Deidra Dixon, played a crucial role in saving his life by quickly getting him to a hospital in Atlanta.

At the hospital, doctors diagnosed Foxx with a brain bleed and performed surgery. Afterward, they informed his family that Foxx was having a stroke and might be able to recover, but it would be a long and difficult journey. 

Foxx later shared how doctors told his sister, “It’s going to be the worst year of his life.” Despite the tough prognosis, Foxx managed to make progress and recover, which he shared in his special.
