Jay-Z Denies rape allegations, claims accuser's story full of inconsistencies
Before the amended complaint, Jay-Z’s team sued Buzbee, accusing him of extorting money from celebrities with false stories.
Jay-Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter, is denying accusations that he raped a 13-year-old girl in 2000, alongside Sean "Diddy" Combs.

The claims were made in a new court filing this week. The woman, referred to as Jane Doe, initially accused Combs of sexual assault in October. She now says Jay-Z was also involved. The allegations say that both stars assaulted her at an afterparty for the MTV Video Music Awards in the year 2000.
Jay-Z, however, denies the accusation. His lawyer has pointed to inconsistencies in Jane Doe's story as proof that the claims are false. He argues that these contradictions make the case not credible.
In a recent interview, Jane Doe said she still stands by her accusation. But she also admitted that there were mistakes and inconsistencies in her original story. She told NBC News that she made some errors but still believes what happened to her was wrong. She also hopes her story will encourage other survivors to speak up.
The woman originally said that after the assault, she asked her father to pick her up. But now, her father claims he doesn't remember picking her up that night. In addition, Jane Doe said she spoke to a celebrity after the incident, but that person later said they were not in New York at the time.
Her lawyer, Tony Buzbee, insists that Jane Doe’s memory is still clear. He said his team is working to gather more evidence to support her claims. Buzbee also revealed that the woman has agreed to take a polygraph test (a lie detector test) to help prove the truth of her allegations.
However, Jay-Z’s attorney, Alex Spiro, argues that the accusations are false. Spiro said in a statement to CNN that Jane Doe’s inconsistencies show that the case was made up for money and fame. “This didn’t happen,” Spiro said. “True justice will come, and we will fight from victory, not for victory.”
Jay-Z’s legal team has also pointed out that Jane Doe’s story keeps changing. They argue that the facts do not add up. Spiro filed a letter to the judge asking the court to dismiss the case because Jane Doe’s details about the event were incorrect.
Before Jane Doe's amended complaint was filed, Jay-Z’s legal team had already sued Buzbee, claiming he was trying to extort money from celebrities by using false stories. They said Buzbee was making false accusations to shake down famous people.
Combs’ legal team, which has also denied all accusations against him, is critical of Buzbee’s actions. They believe that Buzbee’s efforts are nothing more than a money grab and a misuse of the legal system.
The battle over these rape accusations continues to unfold in the courts. Jay-Z and Combs both deny the charges, while Jane Doe maintains that the assault happened, even as she admits some mistakes in her story. As the legal process continues, more details may emerge, but for now, the case remains full of uncertainty and controversy.
