It’s been 15 years since Oasis performed together, but Liam Gallagher is still confident the band has what it takes to take on any other band. On November 10, the 52-year-old musician took to X (formerly Twitter) to address fans' concerns about their upcoming reunion.
Liam shared his thoughts after someone asked him if Oasis would still be as good as before. He responded in typical Liam fashion, saying, “Got asked a ridiculous question yesterday.
So are OASIS gonna be as good as you once were? Because when some bands get back together, they're not as good. I said, listen here, even on our bad days, we'll still wipe the floor with the majority of bands out there. BUMBACLART LG x.”
His strong words come just months before Oasis' much-awaited reunion tour in 2025. For fans who have been hoping for this moment for years, it seems like a dream come true.
After all, Liam and his brother Noel Gallagher have had a complicated relationship. They famously had a fight backstage at the 2009 Rock en Seine festival in Paris, which led to the band breaking up. Since then, the brothers have been in a public feud, making any idea of a reunion seem unlikely.
However, the brothers surprised fans in August when they announced the Oasis Live '25 reunion tour. This announcement marked the end of a long wait for fans who have been craving the chance to see the Britpop giants perform together again.
The duo confirmed that the tour will include multiple stadium shows across the U.K. and Ireland in the summer of 2025.
In a statement, the band wrote, “The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised.” They also teased the reunion on Instagram with a post that excited fans even more: “This is it, this is happening."
The Oasis 2025 tour will kick off at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales, on July 4 and 5. From there, they’ll head to Manchester for four dates at Heaton Park on July 11, 12, 19, and 20.
Fans in London will get their turn at Wembley Stadium, where Oasis will perform four more shows on July 25, 26, August 2, and 3. After that, they’ll head to Edinburgh's Murrayfield Stadium on August 8 and 9. The first leg of the U.K. and Ireland tour will wrap up at Croke Park in Dublin on August 16 and 17.
But the excitement doesn’t end there.
Oasis also confirmed they’ll be making their way to North America in 2025. The band will visit Toronto’s Rogers Stadium on August 24, 2025, marking their first performance in North America in 16 years.
From there, Oasis will travel to Chicago's Soldier Field on August 28, East Rutherford’s MetLife Stadium on August 31, and Los Angeles’ Rose Bowl Stadium on September 6. Oasis will also perform in Mexico City at Estadio GNP Seguros on September 12.
