New poll shows Harris leading Trump in four key swing states

A new poll from The New York Times and Siena College shows that Harris is leading Trump in Nevada, North Carolina, Wisconsin, and Georgia

Kamala Harris overtakes Donald Trump in four key swing states just before Election Day, offering new hope for her campaign, according to a recent poll.

In a surprising turn of events, Vice President Kamala Harris has pulled ahead of former President Donald Trump in four important swing states just before Election Day. This news brings new hope to Harris's campaign as she prepares for the upcoming election.

A new poll from The New York Times and Siena College shows that Harris is leading Trump in Nevada, North Carolina, Wisconsin, and Georgia. This poll was released on Sunday, just days before voters go to the polls.

In Nevada, Harris has support from 49 percent of likely voters, while Trump only has 46 percent. This is a good sign for her campaign as she works to build excitement in this key state.

North Carolina is especially interesting because it was the only swing state Trump won against President Joe Biden in 2020. However, in this new poll, Trump is trailing Harris with 46 percent to her 48 percent.

The poll also shows Harris gaining ground in Wisconsin and Georgia. In Wisconsin, she leads with 49 percent, while Trump has 47 percent. In Georgia, Harris again comes out on top with 48 percent compared to Trump’s 47 percent.

Despite these positive numbers for Harris, the poll shows Trump still leading in one important state—Arizona. In Arizona, Trump has 49 percent of the vote while Harris has 45 percent. This means the race is still competitive in many areas.

The poll also shows that in Michigan and Pennsylvania, Harris and Trump are very close. In Michigan, they are nearly tied with Harris at 47 percent and Trump at 48 percent. Pennsylvania is just as close, showing a similar split between the two candidates.

While these polling numbers look good for Harris, they come with a warning. All the results are within the margin of error, meaning the race is still very open. This uncertainty has made Trump’s camp nervous. They are accusing The New York Times of spreading “voter suppression” stories. They claim some in the media are trying to discourage Trump’s supporters.

In a memo, the Trump campaign pointed to what they called “an absurd outlier poll” done by the Des Moines Register in Iowa, which showed Harris ahead of Trump. This poll, released on Saturday, had Harris leading with 47 percent against Trump’s 44 percent. This result is a big change from earlier polls that showed Trump ahead in Iowa.

According to the Des Moines Register, the shift in support for Harris comes mainly from women and older voters. These groups seem to be changing their minds and leaning more toward Harris as Election Day approaches.

On a national level, Harris and Trump are very close in the polls. Current averages show Harris with a tiny lead of just 1.2 points. This means both candidates have a strong chance as the final day of campaigning arrives.

With only hours left until Election Day, both Harris and Trump are making last-minute efforts in important swing states. Trump plans to campaign in Raleigh, North Carolina, and then head to Reading and Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania. He will end his day in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where he hopes to rally more supporters.

Meanwhile, Harris is focusing her last day of campaigning on Pennsylvania. She will stop in Allentown, Pittsburgh, and Philadelphia. To attract more attention, she will be joined by several famous faces, including Lady Gaga, Oprah Winfrey, and Ricky Martin.

As Election Day draws near, the competition between Harris and Trump heats up. Voters are getting ready to make their voices heard, and the outcome is still uncertain. This election will be an important moment for both candidates as they try to secure their place in history.
