Trump organization to launch two Saudi Arabia projects ahead of White House return
The projects are part of a partnership with Dar Global, a luxury real estate developer based in London.
The Trump Organization has announced its latest move in the world of real estate.
The company is leasing its brand for two new projects in Saudi Arabia. These developments will be in the Saudi capital, Riyadh. The projects come through a partnership with Dar Global, a London-based luxury real estate developer.
This partnership isn't new. Dar Global and the Trump Organization have worked together before. One notable project is a luxury golf resort in Oman.
Dar Global is part of Dar Al Arkan, a major Saudi real estate company. The developer has ongoing projects worth $7.5 billion. These are spread across countries like the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Qatar, the United Kingdom, Spain, and Saudi Arabia.
What Eric Trump Had to Say
Eric Trump, son of President-elect Donald Trump, shared his excitement about the new projects. "The success of Trump International Oman and other ventures in Dubai and Jeddah has been remarkable," he said. "We’re thrilled to announce two new projects in Riyadh."
The Trump Organization has signed many similar deals worldwide. Before Donald Trump entered the White House in 2017, the company had licensing agreements for hotels and towers in places like Canada, Dubai, Mexico, India, and Turkey.
The Controversial Saudi Connection
This announcement has stirred some debate. The Trump family has close ties to Saudi Arabia. Critics have questioned this relationship, especially after the 2018 killing of Jamal Khashoggi. Khashoggi was a journalist who often wrote critically about the Saudi monarchy.
Donald Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner, also has links to Saudi investments. After leaving the White House, he launched an investment fund called Affinity Partners. This fund received a $2 billion investment from a Saudi sovereign wealth fund.
Kushner played a key role in Middle Eastern diplomacy during Trump’s presidency. He helped broker the Abraham Accords in 2020, a peace agreement between Israel and the UAE.
More Plans for the Trump Family
The Trump family isn’t stopping at Saudi Arabia. Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner recently announced plans to invest in the Balkans. They are looking at projects in Vlore, Albania, and Belgrade, Serbia.
For Kushner, these Balkan projects will be his biggest yet. He plans to use funds from Affinity Partners, which Saudi investors primarily finance.
A Growing Global Presence
The Trump Organization continues to expand its brand globally. Its partnership with Dar Global highlights the company’s strategy of licensing its name to luxury projects. With new projects in Riyadh, the Trump family shows no signs of slowing down.
As their real estate empire grows, so does the scrutiny. Whether it’s about financial ties or political influence, the Trump Organization remains in the spotlight.
