Britain’s support for Ukraine has “slowed down,” says President Volodymyr Zelensky. He’s asking Western leaders to let Ukraine use long-range Storm Shadow missiles against Russia.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is asking Western countries for more freedom to use the weapons they’ve provided. He wants to use long-range Storm Shadow missiles against Russian territory. Zelensky said that Britain’s support for Ukraine has “slowed down” recently. He’s urging Western leaders to let Ukraine use these missiles fully to strike Russian targets.

This request comes after Ukrainian forces have taken control of parts of Russian land following a surprising attack. Leaders like Sir Keir Starmer and officials in the U.S. are worried that using these advanced missiles might make the conflict worse.

Zelensky acknowledged that Britain’s help has saved many lives since the war began. However, he is concerned about the recent slowdown in support. He stressed that long-range missiles are crucial for Ukraine’s defense. Zelensky pointed out, “The world sees how effective Ukrainians are—how our nation fights to stay independent.”

He believes it’s essential for allies to allow the unrestricted use of advanced weapons like Storm Shadow missiles. Zelensky sees these long-range missiles as key to addressing the most important issues of the war.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian forces have attacked a crucial bridge in Russia's Kursk region using Himars artillery. This strike has cut off an important supply route for Russian troops. The bridge is near Glushkovo, about 15 miles from the Ukrainian border and 40 miles west of Sudzha, where Ukraine began its initial attack last week.
