A product recall has been issued for Fresh Gourmet Tortilla Strips Santa Fe Style due to an undeclared wheat allergen.
The recall affects 3.5-ounce pouches with a UPC code of 7 87359 17504 6 and a best-by date of June 20, 2025. The issue could cause severe or life-threatening allergic reactions for people with wheat allergies or sensitivities.
The company, Sugar Foods, issued the recall on November 22 after a customer reported finding Crispy Onion Strips inside the pouch instead of tortilla strips. The Crispy Onion Strips contain wheat, but the packaging did not list it as an ingredient.

The product was distributed to 22 states between September 30 and November 11. The states include:

Sugar Foods urges customers to discard the product or return it to the store for a full refund. So far, no illnesses have been reported.
