13 dead, 4.5 Million Flood Victims of Bangladesh: Simple Steps to Donate

Currently, 11 districts of Bangladesh are affected by floods. The number of flood affected people in these districts is about 4.5 Million. At the moment, 8,08,629 families are without water and 13 people have died in this flood so far.

Floods took their worst form in Feni. Besides, Chittagong, Comilla, Noakhali, Sylhet, Moulvibazar, Brahmanbaria, Lakshmipur, Khagrachari and Cox's Bazar districts have been affected by floods.
According to Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief, 77 upazilas and 584 unions and municipalities of 11 districts of the country were inundated and damaged due to floods. So far 13 people including two women have died. Four died in Comilla, one in Feni, two in Chittagong, one in Noakhali, one in Brahmanbaria, one in Laxmipur and three in Cox's Bazar. The number of people affected by the flood is 44 lakh 97 thousand 535 people.
3 thousand 160 shelters have been opened so far. One lakh 88 thousand 739 people have taken shelter in these shelters.
A total of 637 medical teams are operational to provide medical care to the victims of 11 districts. 3 crore 52 lakh cash, 20 thousand 150 tons of rice and 15 thousand food packets have been distributed among the flood victims by the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief.
