The police have arrested the prime suspect involved in the murder of TikToker Sana Yousaf. The accused was apprehended by the police from Faisalabad on Tuesday.

Pakistani TikTok star Sana Yousaf, aged 17, was tragically shot and killed inside her home in Islamabad's G-13 sector on the night of June 2, 2025. The assailant entered the house posing as a guest and shot her at point-blank range, leading to her immediate death.

Originally from Upper Chitral, Sana was known for her vibrant personality and positive influence on her followers. She was part of a growing community of young digital creators in Pakistan who used social media platforms to express themselves and connect with a broader audience.

Police have arrested the person responsible for the murder of young TikToker Sana Yousaf, using CCTV footage and other technical tools to track him down.

According to police sources, the suspect was caught during a late-night raid.

A pistol, believed to be the weapon used in the crime, was recovered from the custody of the accused. An FIR has been registered at Islamabad's Sambal Police Station in connection with the murder case.

The man, who is from Punjab, had known Sana before, which suggests they had a personal connection.

Early investigations show that the killing may have happened because of a personal grudge.

Police also found the weapon used in the murder with the suspect.

 

Body of TikToker Sana Yousaf Sent to Hometown Chitral



The body of Sana Yousaf, the young TikToker who was killed yesterday in Islamabad’s G-13 area, has been sent to her hometown in Upper Chitral for burial.

Police in Islamabad have expanded their investigation. They’ve collected CCTV footage from several places, including cameras in G-13 and Safe City cameras along the Expressway. Officers are now reviewing the footage to track the suspect’s movements before and after the murder.

Sana Yousaf was a popular social media influencer with over four million followers on platforms like TikTok and Instagram. Originally from Chitral, she had gained fame for her vibrant and engaging content. Her untimely death has sparked widespread grief and outrage across Pakistan, with many demanding justice under the hashtag #JusticeForSanaYousaf. The incident has also raised concerns about the safety of women, especially those in the public eye.
