Adele’s Las Vegas residency turned even more memorable when she spotted one of her idols, Celine Dion, in the audience.

During her recent performance at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, where Dion herself performed for years, Adele shared a heartfelt moment with the Canadian superstar, leaving both stars and fans emotional.

In a video shared online, Adele can be seen breaking down in tears when she notices Celine Dion in the crowd.

Overcome with emotion, Adele pauses her performance and makes her way to Dion, who is seated among the audience. The two stars embraced warmly, holding each other in a moment filled with admiration and love.

The crowd at Caesars Palace cheered, witnessing the touching interaction between two of music’s biggest names.

After a brief chat, Adele returned to the stage, encouraging the audience to give a round of applause for “Ms. Celine Dion.” Dion, also emotional, wiped her eyes with a tissue and stood up, waving at the crowd as Adele continued singing her hit song “When We Were Young.”

In another clip, Adele expressed her deep admiration for Dion, calling her “one of my favorite people of all time.”

Adele's appreciation for Celine Dion isn’t new; she has shared her love for the legendary singer many times in the past. In 2018, Adele attended one of Dion’s shows and later posted on Instagram, calling her “Queen Celine.” Alongside a picture of herself wearing a Celine Dion T-shirt, she wrote, “What a show, an absolute highlight of my life. Thank you so much for the attention to your crowd and insane humor. Happy new year lady x.”

In response to Adele’s admiration, Dion also shared her love. At the time, she posted a photo of herself with Adele, who was proudly wearing her merchandise.

Dion captioned it, “Wasn’t able to do all my shows, but was thrilled that @Adele came to one of them. I love her so much!! – Celine xx.” Their mutual respect for each other’s talent and personality has only grown, making this latest moment in Las Vegas even more special.

Adele’s residency at Caesars Palace, called "Weekends With Adele," began in November 2022 and is set to finish in November 2024. The shows have consistently sold out, with over 4,000 fans filling the theater each night. However, the long schedule has been challenging for Adele. In July, she shared that she plans to take a “big break” from music after finishing her current series of shows.

Celine Dion also made headlines recently with her return to live performances. Despite facing health issues, she performed at the Paris Olympics opening ceremony this past summer.

In 2021, Dion had to cancel her own Las Vegas residency after being diagnosed with stiff person syndrome (SPS), a rare and painful neurological disorder. SPS causes muscles to stiffen and spasm, affecting mobility and quality of life. Dion openly shared her diagnosis with fans in December 2022, explaining her ongoing health struggles.

The Colosseum has been a special place for Celine Dion and her fans. Her first residency there started in 2003 and ran until December 2007, with a total of 717 shows.

Dion then returned for a second residency from March 2011 to June 2019, performing an additional 424 shows. Her success in Las Vegas helped redefine residencies as a powerful platform for top artists, paving the way for stars like Adele.
