After passengers are stuck in the metro rail for 2 hours in Dhaka, the service started again

Metro rail has started running again after fixing the mechanical fault. The passengers were stuck inside the metro for about 2 hours due to this problem.

On Sunday (February 4) around 3:30 p.m. traffic was disrupted due to signal problems.

Recently, The metro rail movement has been stopped suddenly due to a mechanical fault on the current route. As a result, many passengers are trapped inside. The passengers at the station also suffered due to the stoppage of traffic.

Nazmul Islam Bhuiyan, the public relations officer of Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL), which operates the Metrorail, confirmed the matter.

He informed that the railway service was stopped due to the problem in the signal system. He said that the service will be resumed as soon as the problem of the line is resolved.

Meanwhile, many passengers were trapped inside the metro due to mechanical failure. They suffered greatly. In this regard, passengers wrote on social media Facebook, I am stuck for almost 2 hours. After the road, the feeling of jam also met in the metro.

 

Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina inaugurated Bangladesh's first metro rail. He inaugurated the Metrorail on December 28, 2022.

Although this route is from Uttara to Kamalapur, the work on the Motijheel to Kamalapur section has not been completed yet. However, this metro rail from Uttara to Motijheel has significantly reduced the travel time within Dhaka.

At present, metro rail runs between Uttara and Motijheel in the city in six days a week from 7 am to 8.40 pm.
