Amber Alert: Urgent Search Underway for Missing Child Lela Black in Princeton

A 5-year-old girl, who has not been in contact since January 26, is the subject of an active Amber Alert. Lela is described as approximately 3 feet 6 inches tall, weighing about 40 pounds, and possessing brown hair and brown eyes.

The Kentucky State Police Twitter account reported that Lela Black is currently suspected of being in the company of her father, Byron Black, age 42. Byron Black is wanted for arrest in connection with the ongoing investigation into the death of Lela's mother, Kelly Black.

The Kentucky State Police have disclosed that Kelly Black was tragically killed by a gunshot wound to the back of her head.

There is an Amber Alert for a missing 5-year-old girl, who is believed to be with her biological father, Byron Black. Byron, aged 42, has an arrest warrant for the murder of Kelly Black.

They have not been heard from since Friday, January 26. It is believed that they may be traveling in a 1996 white Chevrolet Silverado with a California license plate 5J83779. The vehicle has peeling paint on the hood.

Byron is considered to be armed and dangerous. Anyone with information on Lela's whereabouts should call 911 or Kentucky State Police at 270-676-3313, according to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
