The family was traveling to join the Gaither Homecoming Cruise to Alaska when the accident happened. Tragically, Jason and Kelly Nelon Clark, their daughter Amber and son-in-law Nathan Kistler, their assistant Melodi Hodges, and the pilot Larry Haynie and his wife Melissa perished in the crash. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) is investigating the cause of the accident.
Autumn Nelon Streetman, the youngest daughter of Jason and Kelly, and her husband, Jamie Streetman, were not aboard the plane. They arrived safely in Seattle and were immediately informed of the tragedy. Fellow artists, including Bill and Gloria Gaither, gathered to offer their support at the hotel. The music community came together to pray, sing, and provide heartfelt condolences to the grieving family, pledging steadfast support during this challenging time.
Autumn and Jamie will return home to be with Kelly’s brother, Todd Nelon, and his wife, Rhonda. The Nelon, Kistler, Haynie, and Hodges families all need your thoughts and prayers as they navigate these difficult days.
In a heartfelt statement, Autumn Nelon Streetman shared: “As many of you have heard, my father and mother, Jason and Kelly Nelon Clark, along with my sister Amber, brother-in-law Nathan, and our dear friends Melodi Hodges, Larry, and Melissa Haynie, were involved in a tragic plane crash. Thank you for the prayers extended to me, my husband Jamie, and our soon-to-be-born baby boy, as well as Jason’s parents, Dan and Linda Clark. We appreciate your continued love and support.”
