Bodies of missing pregnant Texas teen and her boyfriend found in a car in San Antonio, police says

A pregnant Texas teenager, Savanah Nicole Soto, 18, and her boyfriend, Matthew Guerra, 22, were found dead in a parked car in San Antonio. The couple had been reported missing by authorities in Leon Valley, located a short distance away from the suburb of San Antonio.

According to Police Chief McManus, the bodies were found in a Kia Optima that matched the description of the boyfriend's vehicle, and it is guessing that they had been in the car for approximately three or four days. 

The bodies have not been positively identified yet, as the medical examiner's confirmation is still pending. However, it is believed that they are the bodies of the missing couple.

McManus did not provided any additional information but said that he was uncertain whether a weapon had been discovered in the vehicle.

The chief described the crime scene as extremely perplexing and mentioned that detectives are currently investigating it as a potential murder. Nevertheless, due to the complexity of the crime scene, it is difficult to determine the exact cause of the crime. 

KENS-TV reported that the bodies were found on Tuesday afternoon in the parking lot of an apartment complex in San Antonio, after someone noticed the car and notified the family. After receiving the information, the family contacted the police. 

According to her family, Soto was supposed to have an induced labor at a hospital last Saturday night, but she was a week overdue. Gloria Cordova, Soto's mother, mentioned that she last spoke to her daughter on Friday afternoon and when she tried to visit her apartment in Leon Valley on Saturday afternoon, but she received no response.

On Monday, Leon Valley police issued a CLEAR Alert for Soto, as her boyfriend was also reported missing. In search to find her, Soto's family organized a search in the vicinity of her apartment on Christmas night. Cordova expressed her sorrow, saying that her daughter was overjoyed about becoming a mother, making this situation heart-wrenching for her.
