Series of Upsetting Events

Roan’s plea came after several scary incidents. One problem was a stalker who had met Roan years ago in Missouri. This person showed up at her parents' house and her hotel in New York. Roan felt scared and upset by these visits.

In July, things got worse when fans found Roan’s flight details and met her at the Seattle airport. One fan kept asking for her autograph and wouldn’t stop until the police got involved. Even after she flew back to Los Angeles, this same fan was there with the paparazzi, making Roan feel very uncomfortable.

The final straw was when Roan was celebrating her friend’s birthday at a bar. A fan grabbed and kissed her without asking. Later that night, someone leaked her dad’s phone number online and called him. This made Roan decide she needed to set clear boundaries and speak up.

Support from Other Stars

Even with these problems, Roan has received support from other celebrities. Charli XCX, Billie Eilish, Hayley Williams, Lady Gaga, and Phoebe Bridgers have reached out to help. Roan said, “I’m not trying to name-drop. I’m telling you there are good people out there who are helping.”

Roan shared her story to help people understand that crossing boundaries with celebrities is not okay. She wants fans to be respectful and not invade her or others' privacy.
