Al Nassr's Cristiano Ronaldo increased his goal count in the Saudi Pro League to 15 for the ongoing 2023/24 season. The team comfortably achieved a 3-0 victory against Al Akhdoud at home.

Ronaldo's late brilliance, Al Nassr got all three points and closed the gap behind Al Hilal, who currently lead the title race, to just one point. Sami Al-Najei's early goal helped settle the home team's nerves upon their return to domestic action.

However, Luis Castro's squad had to rely on Ronaldo in the final moments to secure the win. Paulo Vitor's poor goalkeeping played a part in Ronaldo's two goals, but his remarkable long-range second goal stands as one of his finest accomplishments in Saudi Arabia.

In the 13th minute, Sami Al-Naji gave Al-Nassr the lead. However, Al-Akhdoud proved to be tough competition for Al-Nassr. It wasn't until the 77th minute that Ronaldo scored a goal from a difficult angle.

Ronaldo's two goals add to his impressive season so far, with a total of 15 goals in 13 league matches.

Sadio Mane, the former Liverpool star, was on the bench as a substitute for Al-Nassr in their match against Al-Akhdoud. He had recently returned from international duty with Senegal.

Al-Nassr's next match will be against Persepolis in the AFC Champions League on Monday. Their upcoming league game will be against their rivals, Al-Hilal, on December 1st.
