Skai Jackson, the Disney Channel star, was arrested last week. She faces a misdemeanor charge of domestic battery after an incident at Universal CityWalk.
According to TMZ, security saw Jackson pushing her boyfriend several times. Deputies arrived after the incident was noticed. Even though both Jackson and her boyfriend said nothing physical happened, video footage led to her arrest. Jackson was cited and then released after a few hours.
Jackson, who is 22, and her boyfriend have said they are "happily engaged and expecting a baby." Despite their claims, the case is now being reviewed by the L.A. County District Attorney's Office. They will decide if any charges will be filed.
Jackson started her career as a child actress on Disney Channel and has grown into voice acting, commercials, and music videos. In 2018, she voiced Glory Grant in a Marvel animation and published her first book, Reach for the Skai: How to Inspire, Empower, and Clapback. In 2020, she reached the semi-finals of ‘Dancing With The Stars.’
