Popular actor and Shiv Sena leader Govinda was rushed to the hospital after accidentally shooting himself in the leg. The 60-year-old star was injured early in the morning while getting ready to travel to Kolkata. He is now recovering and in stable condition at CritiCare Hospital in Mumbai.
How the Accident Happened
At about 4:45 am, Govinda was preparing to leave for a trip to Kolkata. While handling his licensed revolver, it slipped from his hand. As he tried to catch it, a bullet accidentally fired and hit him below his left knee.
He was immediately taken to CritiCare Hospital, where doctors quickly began treating him. They successfully removed the bullet, and he underwent surgery. Thankfully, doctors say Govinda is out of danger and recovering well.

Shashi Sinha, a close friend of Govinda, also confirmed that the actor is recovering. He explained how the accident happened, saying, “Govinda was putting his revolver away in the cupboard when it fell. While trying to handle it, the gun fired, and a bullet hit his leg.”
Sinha added, “The bullet has been removed, and he’s doing much better now. He was talking to everyone in the hospital and is in good spirits.” Govinda’s nephew, comedian Krushna Abhishek, who is currently in Australia, also shared that his uncle is stable and recovering.

Although it was an accident, the police are still looking into the incident. They have taken Govinda’s revolver and are investigating what exactly happened. For now, there is no sign of foul play, and it seems to be an unfortunate mishap.
