After changing bond in June 2022 in Missouri, it appeared that the couple had separated not long after. According to In Touch, Gypsy informed her family in November that she planed to file for an annulment.
In a letter written by Gypsy Rose, she expressed her decision to end the marriage with Ryan, saying that it was not the fault of either of them. She cited being in different stages of life and finding it difficult to continue their journey together.
Surprisingly, neither Gypsy Rose nor Ryan followed through with the annulment paperwork. By mid-2023, Gypsy confirmed that they had chosen to remain together, despite their previous troubles. When former Bachelorette star Josh Seiter sent Gypsy Rose a flirty email, she criticized him for his actions.
I'm not sure why you're targeting me, but spreading false informations online won't get you fame, she replied. I'm a married woman, my husband is Ryan Anderson, and we don't tolerate people fabricating stories about us. While I may appear harmless, I won't hesitate to tell you to stop harassing us, she said.
Previously, Gypsy Rose met her ex-fiancé Ken through her prison's pen pal program and the two got engaged in mid-2019. However, the engagement was short-lived, and by August of that year, Gypsy Rose and Ken had called off their engagement and split up.
Before meeting Ken, Gypsy Rose was in a turbulent relationship with her ex-boyfriend Nicholas "Nick" Godejohn, who murdered her mother Clauddine "Dee Dee" Blanchard in 2015. Although Gypsy Rose had given Godejohn duct tape and a knife to carry out the killing, she hid in the bathroom during the attack, because she struggled hearing her mother's screams.
During his 20/20 interview, Nick admitted feeling guilty for murdering Dee Dee.
At the hotel, Gypsy Rose repeatedly told me, "Stop crying. You have no reason to cry. This was my idea, not yours." he claimed. I did it because I loved her and desperately wanted a life with her.
Nick is going to spend the rest of his life in prison, but Gypsy Rose will soon be released from Chillicothe Correctional Center on December 28, 2023.
