Japan's Anna Umemiya's Only Daughter Overseas Hospitalized Due to Health Issues Since Last Year

Anna Umemiya, a renowned Japanese television personality and model, hails from Tokyo. She is the offspring of a Japanese father and an American mother, who was once a model herself. Tatsuo Umemiya, her father, was not only an actor but also a former esteemed judge on the original Iron Chef show.

Umemiya expressed her anxiety, saying that it had been a while since she felt this way. She explained that Momoka had asthma and had experienced frequent pain during her childhood. Despite that, Momoka had been actively involved in volleyball from elementary school until the 12th grade. 

Umemiya mentioned that during that time, she herself did not have asthma, emphasizing the transformative power of sports on one's health. However, currently, Umemiya refrains from engaging in any sports-related activities. Umemiya recounted receiving a distressing call from Momoka in the United States the previous day, where Momoka expressed her pain and difficulty in breathing.

Momoka pleaded for some respite, and Umemiya vividly recalled the image of her daughter wearing an oxygen mask. The specifics of their conversation were made public.

Since last year, I have been suffering from a persistent cold that shows no signs of improvement. Even when I returned to America, the cold did not get any better. Yesterday, I suddenly felt unwell and began to question whether it was just a cold or something more serious like Corona or Influenza. Concerned about my condition, I rushed to the hospital for emergency treatment.

In her heartfelt confession, my mother expressed the difficulty of being separated by a distance of 8,000 kilometers. She often wondered if she would have to rush to my side in such situations. 

Yesterday, I had to use an inhaler for the first time in a long while. Inhalers are commonly depicted in foreign movies, but do you know what they are? When you have a severe cough, you inhale the medication to alleviate the symptoms. Not having one during such times can be quite distressing. It's a scene that many can relate to, right? An inhaler is a device that widens the bronchial tubes, making breathing easier. This was the explanation given by Momoka regarding her condition.

I had to rush to the hospital due to an emergency situation. The medical tests revealed that I was not only suffering from asthma, but also had influenza A and bronchitis. Additionally, my fever had spiked to 40.5 degrees. After a long and exhausting ordeal, I finally arrived back home at 3:30 in the morning, California time.

During this challenging time, I was deeply grateful for the immense support and assistance provided by Momoka's friends. They not only drove me to the hospital but also stayed by my side throughout the entire ordeal. I can only express my heartfelt gratitude to my friend for their invaluable help. However, Momoka's condition still seems to be unstable at the moment. She assured me that she will provide further updates in due course.
