Last night, a group set off bright red and yellow fireworks and flares at London's Albert Bridge, causing chaos. This happened around 11 pm, with explosive objects falling over the key route across the Thames, making the area dangerous.

Police and fire officers were called to the scene. People passing by were confused by the unexpected fireworks, unsure of what was being celebrated. Videos on social media showed flares landing on the Uber Boat, nearby buildings, a church roof, and parked cars. One person reported flares landing "all around" them, with a tree catching fire, showing how easily a big fire could have started.

Some thought the fireworks might have been a late celebration by Spanish football fans, still happy about their Euros win over England. Witnesses heard chanting as the fireworks went off, adding to the confusion. It was not an official celebration. The group setting off the flares left before officers arrived, so their identities remain unknown.

The London Fire Brigade warned people to be careful with fireworks. A spokesperson stressed attending organized displays instead of private ones. "If you use fireworks, ensure you have enough space, buy from a licensed seller, and look for a CE mark for safety," the spokesperson said.

The fire brigade also warned against mixing alcohol and fireworks. "Never drink alcohol and set off fireworks."Don’t throw fireworks or return to a lit firework," the spokesperson continued. "Remember, fireworks are explosives and should be handled carefully, following the manufacturer’s instructions and the Firework Code."

The chaos at Albert Bridge shows the dangers of reckless fireworks use. Authorities are investigating, hoping to find those responsible and stop future incidents.
