According to witness reported by the New York Post, a man was seen attempting to enter the townhouse in the early afternoon, although he was unsuccessful.

The police have not officially confirmed a break-in attempt at Swift's home. However, they arrested a man on the same street who was allegedly seen trying to open a door to a building.

The person arrested was charged with an unrelated 2017 warrant from Brooklyn for failing to respond to a summons. The authorities have not disclosed the man's identity.

On Sunday, Taylor Swift traveled to Buffalo, New York to support her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, who plays as a tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs. He had a scheduled NFL playoff game against the Buffalo Bills in the evening.

The Tribeca townhouse has experienced multiple break-ins and attempted break-ins in the past, often occurring when Swift was not present. Some of these incidents involved individuals who were alleged stalkers.

In the year 2022, charges were taken against a man for trespassing and stalking, as authorities discovered that he had unlawfully entered two residences in Tribeca that were connected to Swift. In that same year, another man was arrested for deliberately crashing his car into Swift's townhouse, and he expressed to the police that he would not leave until he had the opportunity to meet with her.

Back in 2018, the police reported that a separate individual had broken into Swift's townhouse and even took a nap inside. This same person faced charges once again a year later, for trespassing into the same building subsequent to serving a jail sentence.

Furthermore, alleged stalkers have been arrested by the police at several of Swift's other properties, including houses in Beverly Hills, California, and Watch Hill, Rhode Island.
