He talked about the importance of the Constitution and hoped Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal would also be free soon.
Sisodia started his day by visiting Raj Ghat to honor Mahatma Gandhi. In his speech, he thanked his lawyers for their hard work in getting him released. He also thanked the Supreme Court for granting his bail.
The Supreme Court granted Sisodia bail on Friday. He had been held by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) over the excise policy scam. The CBI arrested Sisodia on February 26 last year, and the ED arrested him on March 9 the same year. The charges were related to corruption and money laundering.
AAP leader Sanjay Singh celebrated the court’s decision, calling it a “victory of truth” and a “slap on the face of the Centre’s dictatorship.” Another leader, Gopal Rai, said the bail was a big defeat for the BJP.
Sisodia’s release is an important event for the AAP, showing the ongoing political tensions and legal struggles in the capital.
