Matthew Perry’s mom shares emotional story, saying he had a “premonition” before his sudden death, adding he expressed deep love just days before.
Matthew Perry’s mother, Suzanne Morrison, recently shared a moving story about her last days with her son before his sudden passing. Perry, famous for his role as Chandler Bing on Friends, passed away on October 28, 2023.
The actor’s death was linked to “acute effects of ketamine,” a medication that can have powerful effects on the brain and body.
In an interview on NBC’s Today show, Morrison explained that she and her son had a special conversation just before he died, one that felt very different from others they’d had in the past.
Perry told his mother, “I love you so much, and I'm so happy to be with you now.” For Morrison, those words were powerful and touching.
After the conversation, Morrison began to think Perry might have somehow known that his time was coming to an end. She described it as almost like a “premonition,” a feeling someone has about something that might happen in the future.
Morrison said that at the time, she didn’t fully realize how unusual his words were, but later they seemed even more meaningful. She shared, “It was almost as though it was a premonition or something. I didn't think about it at the time, but I thought, ‘How long has it been since we've had a conversation like that? It's been years.’”
Matthew Perry had openly struggled with addiction for much of his life. His battles with substance use were not just well-known but something he bravely spoke about.
Perry once said he hoped that by sharing his story, he could help others. He wanted his struggles to bring comfort and hope to people going through similar issues.
