On Thursday, lots of people faced trouble while using Microsoft 365. A popular tracking website, Downdetector.com, reveals that the complete suit of Microsoft was down, which affected thousands of users.
This problem is happening not long after another big issue. Two months ago, a bad software update from CrowdStrike, a company that helps keep computers safe, messed up around 8.5 million Windows devices. This caused problems for airlines, banks, and hospitals.
Microsoft quickly said they were looking into the problem. They posted on social media site X, about this fact.
It says, “We’re checking out an issue where users can’t access many Microsoft 365 services.” But unfortunately, they didn’t mention the cause of the problem or when it might be fixed.
Microsoft’s Azure cloud service also said they were looking into reports. It might be problems with the Microsoft services through AT&T networks. AT&T hasn’t said anything yet about this.
Downdetector found that nearly 23,000 people reported issues with Microsoft 365. They track these problems by collecting information from many sources, including user reports.
The issues weren’t just with Microsoft 365. Over 4,000 users also had trouble with Microsoft Teams. Microsoft Teams is a tool used for online chats and meetings.
Right now, many people are waiting for a fix. Microsoft hasn’t said when things will be back to normal. Users should watch for updates from Microsoft to know when the problem will be fixed.
