The British young boy, then 11 years old, disappeared while on a family vacation in Spain in 2017. According to The Sun, UK, Alex, traveled with his mother Melanie and grandfather David, was seemingly abducted. It is worth noting that both his mother and grandfather were not expected to be present due to ongoing domestic issues at the time of his vanishing. 

And after just two weeks, the three individuals were supposed to depart Marbella but never returned, resulting in a police investigation into their disappearance. However, until today, the person remained missing.

Susan Caruana, his grandmother and official guardian, thought that they might have chosen to adopt a different lifestyle abroad. At that time, she mentioned, They had no intention of sending Alex to a regular school as they did not believe in it.

Prosecutors now believe that Alex, who is currently 17 years old, has been located in Revel, a town near Toulouse in southern France. A local newspaper said, The enigma surrounding Alex Batty is on the verge of being resolved. It further noted that although he did not possess any official identification during his interaction with the police, he was able to confirm his identity.

According to investigators, it is believed that Alex escaped a remote community residing in the Pyrenees mountains on foot. 

It is said that the teenager embarked on a several-day hike until he was able to receive assistance from a generous lorry driver who then alerted the police.

According to sources, the teenager described his experience in a remarkably composed and peaceful manner.

At present, it seems that he is under the care of social services, while authorities eagerly await the involvement of his family.

Initial reports from the police indicate that he resided in a "spiritual community" alongside his mother, primarily dwelling in tents and caravans.
