According to Sean Scott on X, it appears that a minor explosion occurred at the ConEd plant in Brooklyn, causing in a small fireball and smoke being emitted into the atmosphere. This incident led to a brief power outage in New York City. The video displayed smoke rising above the illuminated city lights reflecting on the East River. The incident took place at Con Edison's Farragut Substation, situated in Brooklyn's Dumbo neighborhood near the East River and not far from the Manhattan Bridge. Con Edison later attributed the power outage to a 'high-tension transmission line' at one of their Brooklyn substations.
