John, who is 73 years old, was married to Olivia from 2008 until her death. Now, he says he "couldn't imagine" finding love again.
In a recent interview with People magazine, John talked about how he feels Olivia’s presence around him. He visits special places in Peru that they shared.
During these visits, he feels like Olivia sends him messages. He says, “Love life, live life.” These messages remind him that life is precious and should not be wasted.
John expressed that he does not plan to find another romantic partner.
He said, “That’s not going to happen again, I mean, I don’t expect it.” He feels that the connection he had with Olivia was unique and cannot be replaced. John describes their love as "so big and so indefinite in time."
He also mentioned that their relationship was very special. They never had petty arguments or disagreements. Instead, they focused on the big picture of their love.
John said, “Our whole life experience and the things that we shared and believed in were just too important.” He couldn't even imagine love being this deep before he met Olivia.
Though his grief, John finds strength in the idea that he will reunite with Olivia one day.
“I see and feel her presence all the time, and I know we’ll be completely reunited again,” he said. This belief helps him move forward after such a heartbreaking loss.
