According to police from the Sumbal station, the incident happened around 5 PM. A man, whose identity is still unknown, entered Sana’s home and shot her twice in the chest. He ran away right after the shooting.
Sana Yousuf, a young social media influencer, was shot and killed at her home in Islamabad, according to Samaa TV. Sana, who was from Upper Chitral, was a well-known content creator with over 400,000 followers.
Police say she was shot at close range by a relative who had come to visit her. After the shooting, the attacker ran away. A search is now underway to find him.
Officers are still looking into the reasons behind the murder. One possible reason being considered is an honour killing, which sadly still happens often in Pakistan.
Police shared that the suspect spoke with Sana outside her house before going inside, where he fired several shots. Sana was hit twice and died on the spot.
Sana, who was originally from Upper Chitral, was taken to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), but sadly, she was declared dead soon after arriving.
