Selena Gomez looked magical at the premiere of Wizards Beyond Waverly Place on October 28. The event took place at the El Capitan Theatre in Los Angeles. Fans were excited to see her return as Alex Russo, the beloved character from the original series.
Selena arrived in a stunning red sequin dress. The dress was a midi length and featured a beautiful sweetheart neckline. It had a peplum waist that added extra flair to her look. She wore matching red slingback pumps that completed her outfit perfectly.

Once she arrived at the El Capitan Theatre, Selena posed for photos with her Wizards Beyond Waverly Place co-stars. Among them was David Henrie, who played her TV brother, Justin Russo. The new cast includes Taylor Cora as Winter, Mimi Gianopulos as Giada Russo, Janice LeAnn Brown as Billie, Max Matenko as Milo Russo, and Alkaio Thiele as Roman Russo. They all joined Selena for a fun group photo at the special event.
Wizards Beyond Waverly Place follows Justin, now an adult, who has chosen to live a normal life with his family. But everything changes when Alex suddenly shows up at his door. Justin realizes he needs to use his magical skills to help mentor Alex, who is still learning how to be a wizard. He must balance this new responsibility while also handling his everyday life and protecting the Wizard World’s future.
The reboot promises to bring back the magic and excitement that fans loved from the original show. It captures the adventures of the Russo siblings as they navigate adulthood with a sprinkle of magic.
The show premieres with two episodes on Tuesday, October 29, at 8:00 p.m. ET on the Disney Channel. After the premiere, the first nine episodes will be available to stream on Disney+ and Disney Channel On Demand the following day.
