Swedish sailor Vilma Bobeck is hoping her special nail ritual will help her team win Olympic gold on Thursday. Bobeck matches her nail color with the 'kite' sail color. This has become a lucky charm for her.

Bobeck usually paints her own nails but chose a professional to do them for the Olympics. Her nails are painted in Sweden’s blue and yellow flag colors. “All the medals I’ve won with this boat have come with matching nails and kite,” Bobeck shared.

At the Olympics, skiffs use large, colorful sails called kites. These kites match the colors of their country’s flag, adding a bright touch to the races. The Swedish women’s team is in third place before Thursday’s big medal race. They are one of five teams that could win gold in this final race.

On Wednesday, Bobeck and her teammate, Rebecca Netzler, won two of their three races. They are trying to close the points gap between them and the French and Dutch teams, who are currently in first and second place.

Bobeck and her team are hopeful that their strong performance and her nail ritual will lead them to victory. The medal race will be exciting and full of competition. Everyone will be watching to see if this special tradition helps them achieve their Olympic dream.
