Taylor Swift was awarded the Grammy for best pop vocal album for her work on "Midnights". Her fans were thrilled when she announces during Grammys that she will be releasing her new album called "The Tortured Poets Department" on April 19.

This came as a surprise to many, as they were expecting her to formally announce the release of "Reputation" as part of her ongoing re-recording album. In anticipation of her announcement, Swift had changed her instagram avatars to black and white, matching the color scheme of the album.

Swift had a total of six Grammy nominations this year for her 2023 album "Midnights", including album of the year.

While she did not win in the best pop solo performance category, losing to Miley Cyrus for her song "Flowers", Swift is still in the running for song of the year, record of the year, and best pop duo/group performance for her song "Karma" with Ice Spice.

This Grammy win adds to Swift's already successful year, which has included her historic Eras Tour and its accompanying concert film.

Following the announcement, the term "red herring" gained popularity on X, as some fans speculated that the Easter eggs in "Reputation (Taylor's Version)" were intentionally used to divert attention from rumors surrounding her 11th studio album.

During the lead-up to the event, Swift's website experienced technical difficulties and displayed an error message containing the jumbled letters "hneriergrd." Upon figure outing these letters, they formed the phrase "red herring."

The upcoming album will comprise of 16 songs along with a bonus track titled "The Manuscript."

During her acceptance speech, Swift surprised her fans by revealing that she had kept the album a secret for the past two years.

I would like to express my gratitude to all the fans by sharing a secret that I have been withholding from you for the past two years. My brand-new album, titled 'The Tortured Poets Department,' will be released on April 19th, according to Swift announced in her speech. I am going to immediately share the album cover backstage. Thank you all, and I truly appreciate your support!

Many Swift fans, renowned for their support in predicting Swift's upcoming actions, taken their astonishment on many social media platforms.

Other enthusiasts speculated that the forthcoming album might influence the lineup for the Eras Tour, scheduled to recommence in Tokyo on Wednesday.
