And let me tell you, these events have everything you could ask for! From swimming and bubble fun to breathtaking fireworks and even balloon drops!

So, without further ado, here's a list of awesome options in our area to welcome in the year 2024.

Times Square New Year's Eve.

Get ready for the best New Year's Eve celebrations in NYC! Times Square is where it's at with incredible live music, the famous ball drop, and an epic fireworks display at midnight. Sure, it'll be crowded and cold, but it's totally worth it!

Fireworks at Grand Army Plaza

But if you're looking to save some cash and still have an amazing time, head over to Grand Army Plaza. Santore's World Famous fireworks over Prospect Park are a must-see. You'll be surrounded by fellow New Yorkers, sharing in the excitement and enjoying live music by Quintessential Playlist. Trust me, it's way better than dealing with the madness at Times Square!

Swim Party

So there, just wanted to let you know that the Fremont Family YMCA's Dillon Family Aquatics Center is throwing a super fun Kids Noon Year's Eve Swim Party! It's all happening this Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

We've got loads of cool stuff planned, like a ball drop at noon, open swim, and pool games. It's gonna be a blast!

Now, here's the lowdown on the cost. It's only 5 bucks for members, and if you're not a member, it's 10 bucks. But wait, there's more! We've also included a yummy lunch with a hot dog, chips, and a bev in the price. Can't beat that!

Just a heads up, if your little ones are under 8, they'll need to have an adult with them in the water. And if they're between 8 and 12, they gotta pass a water safety test to make sure they're good to go.

So gather up the fam and come join the fun at our Swim Party! It's gonna be an absolute blast!

Noon Year’s Eve The Durham Museum

Hey, hurry up! The Durham Museum in Omaha is throwing a Noon Year's Eve party on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. It's gonna be a blast for the whole family!

There will be live music by Dino O'Dell and the T-Rex All-Stars, along with special crafts and activities. You can make your own party hat, stomp on bubble wrap, and witness a huge balloon drop at noon in the Suzanne and Walter Scott Great Hall.

But here's the catch - you gotta register in advance because space is limited. That goes for museum members too, so don't forget! Prices for non-members are $15 for adults, $12 for seniors and military/veterans, $8 for kids ages 3-12, and free for children 2 and under (tax not included).

You can grab your tickets online at DurhamMuseum.org or give them a call at 402-444-5071 before Dec. 28. If there's room, you might be able to snag some tickets at the door too. Entry will be available on both the main and lower levels.

You can choose to attend either the morning session from 9-11:30 a.m. or the afternoon session from 1-3:30 p.m. Get ready for a dance party, bubble wrap stomp, countdown, bubble drop and pop, and even a performance by the String Beans. And don't worry, there will be free party favors, activities to make and take home, a photo booth, and the Kazoo’s U-Stop Café will be open for all your food needs.

But here's the scoop: tickets are required for both adults and children, and they must be purchased in advance. The prices are $20 for members and $30 for non-members. However, children 18 months and under get in for free! Just remember, the museum won't be open for general admission on this day, so make sure you secure your tickets ASAP!
