TV star Orpheus Pledger arrested after alleged court no-show

Former TV star Orpheus Pledger was arrested after failing to appear in court on charges of serious assault. Pledger, known for his role on Home and Away, was supposed to appear in Melbourne Magistrates' Court to answer to allegations of assault against a woman.

However, he did not show up, leading police to issue a warrant for his arrest. 

Orpheus Pledger, an Australian actor known for his role in soap operas including Home and Away, has recently been in the news due to his arrest. Here are the details:

Pledger faces four assault charges. He was first arrested in March for allegedly assaulting a woman.

After being detained, he managed to evade police and was on the run for three days before being arrested again.

Pledger is due to appear before the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court in May. His lawyer said that Pledger’s mental health was suffering while he was in jail.

Pledger gained fame for his portrayal of the fictional character Mason Morgan in Home and Away, a role he played from 2016 to 2019 before the character was killed off. 

Earlier in his career, he also appeared in other popular TV shows, including Neighbours. The situation surrounding his arrest has certainly captured public attention.
