11 Security Personnel and 19 Militants Killed in Pakistan's Ongoing Conflict
On Friday, officials announced that a series of attacks and clashes in Pakistan led to the deaths of at least 11 security personnel and 19 militants.
In a tragic series of incidents in Pakistan, 11 security personnel and 19 militants lost their lives in different attacks and clashes. These incidents occurred across different regions, highlighting the ongoing security challenges faced by the country.
One of the deadliest attacks happened in the Zam area of Dera Ismail Khan district, where militants targeted a security check post, leading to the deaths of 10 Frontier Constabulary personnel. The Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), a coalition of several militant factions, claimed responsibility for this attack.
In another incident, militants attacked the district account office in South Waziristan, killing one police officer.
In a separate announcement, the Pakistani military stated that its forces killed at least nine militants during an intelligence-driven operation in the Bajaur district, near the Afghanistan border.
The statement mentioned that among those killed were two “suicide bombers” and a “high-value target.”
Furthermore, police reported that they have killed at least 10 militants in a different operation in the Mianwali district of northeastern Punjab province.
These militants were reportedly involved in multiple attacks on security forces in recent months.
