The storms resulted in at least 32 fatalities across multiple states, with reported deaths in Arkansas (5), Indiana (5), Alabama (1), Mississippi (1), Illinois (4), including a man killed in a concert roof collapse, and Sussex County, Delaware (1).
The weather warnings on Monday follow a difficult night in the southern states and Great Plains. Arkansas reported eight deaths, Texas reported seven, Oklahoma reported two, and Kentucky reported two. The fatalities were a result of weather-related incidents such as falling trees.
Extensive property damage occurred in western and southern Little Rock, impacting around 2,100 residents.
