Supermodel Bella Hadid has addressed the recent controversy surrounding her Adidas campaign. The campaign featured a shoe honoring the 1927 Munich Olympics, marking its 52nd anniversary. On July 29, Hadid shared her thoughts on Instagram Stories.

In her post, Hadid expressed her surprise and disappointment over the campaign’s connection to the tragic events of 1972. She stated, "For those of you who don’t know my heart, I want to explain my recent Adidas campaign. I would never knowingly support art or work linked to a tragedy." Hadid admitted she was unaware of the historical connection before the campaign’s launch.

Hadid was upset by what she saw as a lack of sensitivity from all parties involved. She said, "My team, Adidas, and I should have researched more. If I had known, I wouldn’t have taken part."

She stressed her commitment to speaking out against wrongs and her belief in the importance of understanding and sensitivity in all campaigns.

The 27-year-old model also reaffirmed her stance against hate and antisemitism. She said, "I do not support hate or antisemitism. I stand with Palestine and push for a world without anti-Semitism. Always choose peace over violence."

Hadid concluded by saying it hurt her to see the campaign linked to the Palestinian liberation struggle. She remains committed to advocating for peace and standing against hate in all its forms.
