Beyoncé joined Kamala Harris in Houston to support her presidential campaign, focusing on the importance of voting and the fight for freedom and equality.

Beyoncé made headlines on Friday night, October 25, at a rally in Houston for Vice President Kamala Harris. Beyoncé was clear about her reason for being there: “I’m not here as a celebrity, I’m not here as a politician. I’m here as a mother,” she said. She spoke about her deep care for the world in which her children, and all children, live.

At the rally, Beyoncé talked about the need for a better future. “Imagine our daughters growing up seeing what’s possible with no ceilings, no limitations,” she continued.

She emphasized the importance of voting and encouraged everyone to participate. She then introduced Harris, saying, “Ladies and gentlemen, please give a big, loud, Texas welcome to the next president of the United States, Vice President Kamala Harris.”

Beyoncé’s presence was powerful, but she did not perform this time. In 2016, she had sung at a rally for Hillary Clinton in Cleveland. This rally was special to Beyoncé because Houston is her hometown.

Kamala Harris’s campaign has adopted Beyoncé’s song “Freedom” from her famous album "Lemonade" as its anthem. Harris first used the song in July when she officially announced her candidacy at her campaign headquarters in Delaware. It is worth noting that Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles, has also endorsed Harris for president.

The song "Freedom" features samples of old recordings of Southern Black church songs and work songs from the 1940s and 1950s. It also includes rapper Kendrick Lamar, who won a Pulitzer Prize. Kinitra D. Brooks, an expert who wrote "The Lemonade Reader," explained that the song shows that “freedom isn’t free.” It teaches that freedom requires a fight and can be won.

The rally highlighted serious issues facing Texas. Since the state restricted abortion, Texas has seen a rise in infant deaths and maternal mortality rates. Kamala Harris’s campaign is focused on these problems, and she directly blamed Donald Trump for them.

Meanwhile, in Texas, Donald Trump was busy with his own events. A long interview he had with popular podcaster Joe Rogan was released the same day.

During this interview, Trump talked about his commitment to working with Robert F. Kennedy Jr. He said, “Oh, I completely am,” when asked if he would include Kennedy in his administration.

Trump expressed some caution, saying he would tell Kennedy to focus on health issues. He mentioned that Kennedy does not like oil, while Trump said, “I love oil and gas.” He noted that he has faced pressure from “big Pharma” not to work with Kennedy.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is known for spreading doubts about vaccines. He goes against the scientific consensus that vaccines are safe and effective. Kennedy believes that pharmaceutical companies are more interested in profits than in improving health.
