Elon Musk attended the Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Dallas Cowboys game at Acrisure Stadium, sharing a clip of himself twirling a “Terrible Towel.”

Elon Musk was spotted at Acrisure Stadium on Sunday as the Pittsburgh Steelers faced off against the Dallas Cowboys. The Tesla CEO was seen cheering for the home team from what looked like a private suite.

Musk’s appearance wasn’t the only thing that caught fans' attention, though—it was how he waved the Steelers’ famous "Terrible Towel."

Before the game started, Musk shared a 30-second video on X (formerly Twitter). The video showed him trying to hype up the Steelers’ fans around him. He leaned over the edge of his suite and spun the signature towel in the air. Then, in an awkward move, he tossed the towel over his shoulder.

Social media quickly noticed Musk’s towel-waving skills—or lack thereof. Fans were quick to point out that he wasn’t doing it quite right.

One person commented, “We’ll work on that form, Elon, but happy to have you in Pittsburgh!” Another added, “He’s twirling it wrong. We don’t claim him.”

Some couldn’t help but make fun of the awkward moment. One user joked, “Elon’s the man, but he somehow makes everything awkward.” Another added humor with, “Elon’s like that one uncle we all have... You’re not sure if you should laugh with him or at him.”

The start of the game was delayed due to bad weather, which included lightning, 60 mph wind gusts, and hail in the Pittsburgh North Shore area.

The game was supposed to begin at 8:25 p.m. ET, but the storm pushed the kickoff to 9:45 p.m. Musk didn’t seem bothered by the hour-plus delay. He posted the video of himself with the caption, “Go Steelers!!” to his 200.4 million followers.

Musk wasn’t the only celebrity at Acrisure Stadium. Rap star Snoop Dogg also came to watch the Steelers play. During the game, he shared his longtime love for the team while speaking with the Football Night in America crew. Snoop said his love for the Steelers started back in the ‘70s. He fondly remembered watching the team win championships and being inspired by star player Mean Joe Greene.

“The Steelers went hard in the ‘70s. They won back-to-back championships. That’s what won me over,” Snoop said.

Even with the rough weather and delayed start, both Musk and Snoop seemed to enjoy the exciting Steelers game.
