On Wednesday evening, Donald Trump spoke at a rally in Reading, Pennsylvania. He used this time to attack various people, including Whoopi Goldberg. This happened just days after Goldberg co-hosted Vice President Kamala Harris on the talk show The View.
Trump often uses rallies to criticize those who oppose him. At this rally, he focused on people who have interviewed Harris recently.
He called the interview on The View “stupid” and said it included “really dumb people.” Then, he turned his attention to Goldberg, who is a longtime co-host of the show and has often criticized Trump.
In his speech, Trump reminded the crowd of a time he worked with Goldberg. He mentioned a cameo he made in her 1996 comedy film, Eddie. Trump claimed that Goldberg once told him he was “so great” and that if he ever ran for president, he would win. He then joked, “You know what, politics can do strange things to demented people.”
Goldberg has not held back her opinions about Trump. She has called him a “moron,” “unhinged,” and a “dictator.” In fact, she has vowed to never say his name aloud again, often referring to him as “you-know-who.”
During the rally, Trump went on to say that he had hired Goldberg for comedy in the past but described her as “filthy, dirty, disgusting.” He claimed her use of vulgar language caused people to leave the room. He also mocked her for being a “loser.”
Trump did not stop with just Goldberg. He also criticized radio host Howard Stern for hosting Harris on his show. He called Stern a “weak guy” for asking easy questions. Trump stated, “I used to think he was good, then I dropped him, I dropped him like a dog.”

Trump’s style includes insulting those who criticize him. At this rally, he did not just attack Goldberg and Stern. He also targeted other public figures.
This included California Governor Gavin Newsom, Utah Senator Mitt Romney, former President Jimmy Carter, Pennsylvania Senator Bob Casey, Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren, President Joe Biden, and prosecutor Jack Smith.
Trump spent a lot of time talking about Vice President Harris. He called her “stupid” and a “dumb person.” This is not the first time he has made similar comments about her at his rallies.
Interestingly, after making several derogatory remarks about Goldberg, Warren, and Harris, Trump revealed that a staff member asked him to stop calling the vice president “dumb.” They thought it would hurt his image with women voters. However, Trump dismissed this idea, saying he believes women “like me anyway.” He called claims about his language affecting women’s opinions “bulls***.”
“They make it up,” he added.
Trump’s comments at the rally highlight his ongoing feud with Goldberg and others who have opposed him.
His style often involves making strong statements and insults, especially toward public figures who criticize him. These tactics seem to energize his supporters during rallies, even as they attract criticism from others.
