On Monday, two ships were attacked in the Red Sea near Yemen. A tanker was hit by missiles, and a drone struck a merchant vessel. No one was hurt.

On Monday, two ships were attacked in the Red Sea near Yemen. One ship was a big oil tanker with a Panama flag. The other was a merchant ship. The oil tanker, called Blue Lagoon I, was hit by two projectiles.

This happened about 70 nautical miles from Yemen’s Saleef port. Thankfully, no one was hurt. The attack on the oil tanker involved missiles. British maritime agencies and a security firm named Ambrey confirmed this. Sea Trade Marine SA, a Greek company, manages the Blue Lagoon I. They haven’t spoken about the attack yet.

The security firm Ambrey thinks the tanker was attacked because it has connections with Israeli ports. Since last November, Houthi militants from Iran have been attacking ships in the Red Sea. They are supporting Palestinians in their fight against Israel.

In another incident, a drone hit a merchant ship about 50 nautical miles from Hodeidah. Hodeidah is a port city south of Saleef. Even though the ship was hit, it continued to sail to its next port. The security firms UKMTO and Ambrey reported this attack but didn’t give more details about the merchant ship.

The Red Sea is an important area for shipping. These attacks make it dangerous for ships traveling through this region. The attacks are part of a bigger problem with security in the Red Sea.

The shipping industry and maritime agencies are working hard to keep ships safe. They are trying to find out more about these attacks and how to stop them in the future.

The attacks remind us of how risky it can be for ships to travel near conflict zones. The maritime industry is paying close attention to these incidents. They are taking extra measures to make sure that shipping routes are safe.

The Blue Lagoon I and the merchant ship were both hit by different kinds of attacks. The tanker was hit by missiles, and the merchant ship was hit by a drone. Even though no one was injured, these attacks show how dangerous it can be for ships in the Red Sea.

As the situation develops, we will get more updates about these attacks and their effects on maritime safety.
